Puerto Rico Governor Pedro Pierluisi, Mayor of Carolina José Carlos Aponte Dalmau, Tribal Council members, Foxwoods’ President and CEO Jason Guyot, local dignitaries and members of the community gathered for Wednesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony, where thousands of guests were welcomed to experience the newest slot machines, table games and the casino service that complements the resort’s accommodations and amenities. A grand opening celebration has been planned for January 2022. The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and LionGrove announced Wednesday that the Foxwoods El San Juan Casino, located at the Fairmont El San Juan Hotel in Puerto Rico, has officially opened to the public in a soft launch on November 17.
